Anansi & the sweet forgotten
October 2021
We are Black Creatives who want to
empower young children with a reverence for and love of Afro-Carribean culture and history.
Using traditional West African stories about Anansi the Spider as a meeting place, we enchant, entertain, educate and build cross- generational dialogue.

The shows, with the living histories of elders from the Carribean community, are a springboard to learn about the journey of the Anansi stories from Africa to the UK via the Caribbean. This journey follows enslaved African people to the Carribean and then the migration of their descendants to the UK with the Windrush generation - our history-tellers.
